SWEAT Analysis
When You Are Ready To Enjoy Success

A helpful personal guide to help your business grow.

Often when we look at starting or growing our businesses we examine the factors that create a pathway to improve our business initiatives by preparing a SWOT analysis.

We tend though, to overlook our personal attributes and contributions to success.

Therefore I invite you to invest a few minutes of your time to explore your personal SWEAT Analysis.

S = Strengths.  Ask yourself, family, friends what they see as your personal strengths.  Are you a strong leader? Are you creative? Do you communicate well with others?  What are your successes/achievements in life? Can you sell?  Are you organised? Do you complete tasks?  Are you open to new ideas? How can you build on these strengths?

W = Weaknesses.  Do you tend to harbour grudges? Do you need specific training in book keeping? Is it difficult to convey your ideas to others? What is your personal time keeping like? Do you avoid confrontation? Do you complete and/or delegate tasks?  What do you need to do to overcome these weaknesses?  Who are your support networks?

E = Education.  Do you have an ongoing education strategy? Are you reading relevant books and magazines to keep you up to date with the changing market and with you personal growth? What learning can you pass onto others?  Are you attending business/personal development courses?

A = Attitude.  Are you optimistic? After being in business for a while the daily pressures can grind us down. How are you rejuvenating yourself and your staff? Do you make daily positive choices for yourself? What motivates/inspires you? Are you associating with positive people?

T = Threats.  Do you have an excellent support network? Are you caring for yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally?  How much do you value your efforts and contribution to your business and daily life?  Do you have time out?  Are your relationships supportive?  Does your social life/alcohol/personal health interfere with your business life?

Knowing yourself is a vital factor of professional business management.  By having written strategies for each of the SWEAT topics you will find that you develop clear goals in your continuing success story.  Without an honest and healthy personal evaluation and clear goals, you will struggle.

And if you procrastinate on this task you have just identified a weakness.  You deserve to take 30 minutes for yourself each week to plan and review your personal success strategy (believing this is a strength).  I guarantee this ‘all SWEAT and fewer tears’ will change your life.
