ALL THE EDUCATIONAL COMPUTER CDS ON THIS WEBSITE WILL
RUN ON IBM-COMPATIBLE COMPUTERS WITH WINDOWS XP, WINDOWS VISTA, AND ALL EARLIER VERSIONS OF WINDOWS FROM 3.1 UPWARDS - SUCH AS WINDOWS ME,
WINDOWS 2000, WINDOWS NT, WINDOWS 95, WINDOWS 98, AND WINDOWS 3.x .
These CDs can also be run easily on 32-BIT VERSIONS
of Windows 7.
And apparently, most of the Windows 7 computers currently selling within New Zealand have the 32-bit version of Windows 7 on board.
HOWEVER, PLEASE NOTE: we have not yet seen these CDs running on any 64-bit versions
of Windows 7.
So if your Computer happens to use Windows 7, the important thing is to find out
whether you have got a 32-bit Version or a 64-bit version before ordering any of these
CDs.*
Care has to be taken,
because here in New Zealand one of the most widely sold versions of Windows 7
is called "Home Premium" - and here in New Zealand, "Home Premium" Windows 7 is supplied on some
computers as a 32-bit version, and yet on other computers as a 64-bit version ...
|
* If you are not sure which version of Windows 7 you have got, one way for you to find out whether you have a 32-bit version of Windows 7, or a
64-bit version of Windows 7, might be to go to the Control Panel, and click "Display".
Then, click "Settings", and take a look at the Color Quality Dialogue Box to see
if it says "Highest (64 bit)" or "Highest (32-bit)".
If it says "Highest (64 bit)", you know you have got a 64-bit version; and if it says "Highest (32-bit)",
you know you have got a 32-bit version.
Alternatively, the dealer
who sold you the computer just might possibly be able to tell you which version you have.
|
BUT IF YOU HAVE A COMPUTER WITH AN EARLIER VERSION OF WINDOWS THAN WINDOWS 7,
ALL THE EDUCATIONAL COMPUTER CDS ON THIS WEBSITE WILL
RUN ON IBM-COMPATIBLE COMPUTERS WHICH HAVE WINDOWS 3.x , WINDOWS 95, WINDOWS 98, WINDOWS NT, WINDOWS 2000, WINDOWS ME, WINDOWS XP, OR WINDOWS VISTA.
