JAZZ UP YOUR
TEXT

Supplies needed:
PaintShop Pro 9
Your imagination
And
Arial
Narrow font
also a tube or a mini animation of your choice
This tutorial was
written in PSP9.
OK here we go.
Open a canvas 400x400
Select your text tool
Size 72
Stroke 2
Anti-alias box checked
In “Create as” select “vector” (It must be a
vector this step is very important)
type the text you want,
e.g.

While your text is still
a vector layer
click on your pre-shape
tool and (this step is also very
important) select the ellipse or the round shape.
With the show nodes and
create on a vector boxes checked

Now go to
Objects/Convert Text to curve/As a single shape

As soon as you have done
that you will see all the nodes appear around your text.

NB:
If by chance you were on
the rectangle or square,
don’t worry,
just click on the edit
mode button and the nodes will appear.
This is were the fun
begins!
Click on one of the
nodes, (which will turn red) keep your finger on left click and pull like in the
inserted picture below.

And now basically, it is
up to you and your imagination.
After you have played
with the nodes and are happy with the way it looks, you can then add your inner
bevel, shadow etc.
You can pull the nodes
out and make a slope for an ant or something else to climb or a platform or seat
for some cutie to stand or sit on.
Example below

There are a whole lot of
other things you can do with the nodes while you are in this stage, but I won’t
explain them here as I need to explore them further.
It has given me some
ideas for more tutorials though………lol
Hope you have been able
to understand what I had to say as I am more of a visual “do it” person than a
writing one.
This is the first
tutorial I have ever written, so it is kind of like my baby………………………..lol
If you are using PSP8 then click on your pen or draw tool as it is called and
the nodes will appear.
Thank you for trying my first tutorial for
PSP9 hope you enjoyed it:-))
