Simple
Movement in GA
Part 1
To be
able to show you how movement is done in
an animation in GA I have made a kit for
you to practice with.
The
"Noseguy" kit parts can be downloaded
HERE
Step I
Open
the kit and extract the "Noseguy" image
to the folder that you keep your UFO
images.
Step 2
Open
your PI Programme then open the
"Noseguy" image. Duplicate this image by
Ctrl+D and close of the original image.
Now
make the "Noseguy" your own by changing
the colour, put a shadow on the nose and
hat etc.
Step 3
Don't
forget to convert your object if you
want to keep the border around your
shapes.
Because GA does not keep stuff that you
have grouped in PI you will also need to
merge the painted lines and the hand
part they belong to.
Save
your "Noseguy" to your GA animations
folder.
Step 4
Open
your GA (Gif Animator) Programme.
Navigate to the folder you have your
"Noseguy" image and open it in GA.

Step 5
Click
on the Duplicate Frame Button.
Step 6
Uncheck (close) the eye on layer
3
hand and open the eye on layer
2
hand.

Now
close the eye on layer
10
hat and open the eye on layer 9
hat.

Duplicate this frame by clicking on the
Duplicate Frame button.
Now
close the eye on layer
9
hat and open the eye on layer
8
hat.
At the
same time close the layer
2
hand and open the eye on layer
1
hand.
Step 7
Now all
that is left to do is the timing on the
frames.
Highlight
Frame 1 right click and give it a value
of
120
Frame 2
will stay at
10
Frame 3 I
have given it a value of
75.
Now your
lifting of the hat animation should look
something like this. Optimize and save
as a gif. Also save it by going to
File/Save As/UGA. We will be revisiting
this animation in Part 2 and adding more
animation to it.
