Animating the Font Flash

OK now the fun really begins!!

Open your GA5 that came with PI

Make sure that the 3D Pipe and the Gravitate Segments layers have the eye open.

All of the other layers should have nothing showing in the square.

See below

Right click and go to Frame Properties. Put a value in the Delay box of 15.

OK, for the first frame on the storyboard, click the eye open on your layer named 1.

At this stage leave the Gravitate BRK Solid unchecked, this will be our 12 frame.

Click on Duplicate Frame(s) Button underneath your storyboard

You will now have 2 frames in your storyboard.

What you have to do now is to match the number of each frame, to the number of each layer, every time you duplicate the frame.

Frame1 to layer 1

frame 2 to layer 2

etc

See Below

There are 12 frames in all.

On Frame 12 (the last frame) only have your 3D Pipe layer and Gravitate BRK Solid layers with the eye open.

(Uncheck the layer that I have highlighted in yellow for frame 12, this is the Gravitate Segments layer.)

Give the last frame (12) a value of 120 in the delay box, click OK

Click on the preview tab in GA and you should see something like the example below, depending on the colours that you have chosen.

Now this one is not perfect as I changed the lights on the Gravitate Segment BRK layer and did not transpose the light settings to the Gravitate BRK (solid) layers.

This one I changed the lights to be the same on all layers.
