Putting a needle through a balloon.

A metal needle is inserted into a balloon. The clear balloon clearly shows the needle through it. When a member of the audience copies the result is oh so different.....

Some of the audience thinks the clear balloon is somehow special (a bulletproof balloon?). The solution is to push the needle through a standard coloured balloon. Again a member of the audience copies with the expected result.
