Hi there

Yes we are frantically working to be ready for this weekend at Rotorua. Funny how everything seems to get done at the last minute.we'll race with the old paint job this weekend, but we will be there.

We are really looking forward to racing with a new enthusiasm out of Rotorua this season ,looking forward to the large competitive fields & just good people that enjoy stockcar racing, the stuff we've missed.
With several deals not coming through on the sale of my car over the winter, the decision was made to race stockcars again this season. Many people including family & friends twisting my arm to stay with stockcars.

Also with regard to sprintcars, at the time of trying to make a decision Western Springs was looking 50/50 as to whether it was racing & I just couldn’t get too excited about the idea of Baypark having the monopoly on sprintcars in this region. Having seen how Baypark has operated in recent years.

But I can see Rotorua being a great place to race, with some great events again this summer & we've always enjoyed racing there. RACING IS ACTUALY ABOUT HAVING FUN.!!

Also my business demands much of my time at present as well as a family to consider, & we see it easier to go stock car racing for now. (e.g. we know the car so well rather than learning a new craft), requiring less energy & effort than sprint cars. Just Kick the tyres & go racing as they say. I don’t have the time for the transition at this point.
We will watch both classes with interest, see what Christmas (rule change) pressies SNZ has for Superstocks this year, see how the outlaw deal goes, & revaluate again in the future.

Besides I still got some pay backs owing, ha !, Broken, Busted or in a cast ,we'll be there. See ya there.

Regards Rodney wood .
