Dexter N. Muir.

My last employment (at Massey University, January 1999 to July 1999), was as a member of the Computer Support team, largely on the Hardware side, but with a strong Customer (Staff and Student) Support role. Prior to this (from January 1998 to December 1998) I was involved in the maintenance of laboratory equipment, particularly with respect to datalogging, for the Institute of Technology and Engineering.
Prior to this, I was involved with the setting up and eventual running of a small manufacturing facility as a Laboratory within the Department of Production Technology. This facility has now been sold to a business in Sri Lanka, and in November 1998 I was sent there to re-commission it. I have put together a Travelogue of the journey.

I married (first time) on 25 Jan 2002, and my wife Josie has spinal trouble (legacy of a fall in 1996).  I'm now officially her Caregiver. We have been exploring Nutrition to boost our health, and are now Independent Associates of Usana.

I also have an Amateur Radio callsign, ZL3LH, and am a keen Folk Musician, playing mostly 12-string guitar. Soon after marrying, I shifted into Country Music. I have a few Country/Folk songs in my repertoire already, and keep learning more, and will likely bring a few of these and some of the Country songs learned recently into my website at some time.

I've had a brief fling with Pacifist Armies, and have a fair collection of Star Trek fanfic, too!

Employers: here's my Resume (also available in a more printable form as a Word6.0/95 Document - shift-click to download), plus a more extensive Curriculum Vitae (which gives a little more of my history, too)!
