Like viruses to the unprotected, so are urban legends to the unwary. Urban legends ( definition ) live on the blurred boundary between truth and rumour, fact and myth, credibility and paranoia.

The Urban Legend magazine is a text-based humor and satire webzine which takes full and shameless advantage of this to create its own 'legends', to stretch your credulity, make shallow jokes, shamelessly parrot the famous, and, we hope, produce a horse-laugh or two. Our mission, which we have accepted, is to

• spread existing urban legends, rumours, and quotes
• create our own urban legends in the form of news satires, columns, and photo headlines.
• accept no responsibility for our actions.

The Urban Legend magazine comes out of New Zealand.
