Welcome to DB-one's boardgaming page. This is simply a collector's page of an avid board game (and card game) fan. For an in-depth look at boardgames, both old and new, check out the Boardgamegeek website.

The prerequisites for a game being on this list are simply that the game must be good (as rated by myself and my gaming colleagues), its playing time must be reasonable (not too long), and of course I must have played it at least once (so if you can't see a game that should obviously be listed here, I'm probably still sourcing a copy).

If you prefer longer games (such as the older Avalon Hill titles or other war games) check out the Grognards website for some excellent strategy gaming resources.
