ROYAL ALBATROSS
A Colony is established on Taiaroa Head at the tipof the
Otago Peninsula.
With a wingspan of 3.5 metres the worlds largest
seabird can stay aloft for days without a single
wing beat, expertly using the wind
currents to tack and glide above the ocean.
