Wine of the Week; a
webzine for wine and food lovers
A weekly newsletter produced by Sue Courtney, a "New Zealand wine
lover and educator". It includes reviews of New Zealand wines,
restaurants, personalities and books as well as news of the New Zealand
wine industry. This excellent site merits frequent return visits.
Tizwine
This is one of the more wide-ranging sites on the New Zealand wine
scene. Here you will find profiles on its wines, wine regions, winemakers,
wine reviews and links to current wine news items, both local and
international, as well as other useful information.
Cuisine
One of the best sites to find informed wine tasting reviews of New
Zealand wines and news about the New Zealand wine industry. It includes a
very useful Buyers Guide, selected by Master of Wine, Bob Campbell (no
relation!) along with excellent recipes and wine and food match
suggestions.

This attractive and comprehensive site provides information and links to New Zealand's
main wine producing regions and the best of its wines and wineries. Some
useful tourist links and regional vintage guides are included.
Geoff Kelly Wine Reviews
Independent wine reviews by a New Zealand wine consultant with an
extensive history of judging and writing about wines. Geoff kelly has set
out to review local and imported wines to one simple international
standard, and report on them factually, objectively and, if possible,
constructively.

Through the Wine Vault TV website, Jayson Bryant has created a New
Zealand web video show that is entertaining and enlightening, not only
sharing his opinions on New Zealand wines but also revealing the
personalities behind New Zealand wine brands. Each guest is handpicked to
give their personal insight on wine and is a window into their life.
Bryant is completely independent of the wine industry and has no hidden
agenda other than telling the public about wine.

The online web site of a leading New Zealand wine magazine - it

Accommodation
A very useful listing of New Zealand Vineyards that provide
accommodation. Details include types of accommodation, indicative prices
and contact details (including email addresses and web sites where known).
Wineries to
Visit
An attractive site that is useful for finding wineries that are available
to visit. It lists a collection of wineries open for tastings, tours,
dining, weddings and functions.
Centre for
Viticulture and Oenology, Lincoln University
Information about the research programmes on viticulture and
winemaking in New Zealand. Research is complemented by the teaching
programme, with the University offering both undergraduate and
postgraduate degrees. Lincoln University, arguably the pre-eminent
winemaking research and teaching institution in New Zealand, aims to
develop and apply innovative processing, viticultural and business
practices to the wine industry.
Matakana Wine Trail
Information on the wines and wineries of Matakana a small town
approximately one hours drive north of Auckland where premium wines have
been produced for some time and where new vineyards are being developed.
There is a summary of the wineries in the area along with their contact
details, map and the opportunity to purchase wines online
Kumeu Wine
Country
A group of Kumeu region wineries, restaurants, accommodation
providers, activity providers and retailers have joined together to form
Kumeu Wine Country. Kumeu is located on the north-western outskirts of
greater Auckland and includes some of Auckland's oldest wineries. The site
also has a map locating the wineries.
Waiheke Island of Wine
A detailed guide to the wineries and vineyards of Waiheke Island (35
minutes by ferry from Auckland). The site includes a map as well as
tourist information, accommodation and restaurant options.
Wines of Gisborne
The Gisborne Winegrowers Societies' website provides excellent
information on the Gisborne wine region, its history, wineries and news
along with full text copies of its quarterly newsletter 'On the
Vine.' There are also good descriptions of the grape varieties grown in the
Gisborne area along with a map of the wineries.
Hawkes Bay Wines
Here you will find a lot of useful background information on the wine
growing sub-regions of Hawkes Bay as well as information on wine tours in
the area. This is a well set out and attractive site.
Wines From
Martinborough
Wines From Martinborough is a winemakers collective promoting the wines
from vineyards in the Martinborough region. Although only producing about
2% of New Zealand's total output it produces some excellent pinot noirs.
Good information on the wineries and local wine news.
Wairarapa Wines
This site covers the history of winemaking and the wineries of this
premium wine growing region. There is also a good wine trail map of the
wineries and links to their web sites where they have them.
Wineart; Fine Wine from
Nelson
Information on wines and wineries in the Nelson Region. Quick links to
the wineries as well as a map of the area. Nelson is also noted for its
many excellent art and craft studios and many of these are included on
this site.
Wine Marlborough
The most comprehensive web site on the Marlborough wine industry, the
premier wine producing area of New Zealand. It includes up-to-date news,
vintage and statistical reports and information on forthcoming wine events
such as the internationally acclaimed annual BMW Wine Marlborough Festival
that is held in February each year.
Waipara Valley
Winegrowers
An excellent introductory overview of this small but increasingly
important winegrowing area in North Canterbury. Brief information on most
of the wineries is provided as well as news of forthcoming events and an
outline of the area's geology and terroir.
The Wines of
Canterbury
The website of the Canterbury Winegrowers Association. Some useful
contact details information for Canterbury vineyards that don't have
websites as well as an outline of the predominant grapes of the region and
a location map of the wineries.
The Central Otago Wine
Cellar
Central Otago is New Zealand's newest wine region but it already has a
history of medal winning wines. This comprehensive and well designed site
provides information on all aspects of the wine industry in Central Otago
including news and online sales.

Rapaura Vintners
Rapaura Vintners was the first contract winery established in New
Zealand to offer a full range of winemaking, bottling and warehousing
services. It is one of Marlborough's largest wineries, making wines for a

Wines and Spirits
Information about New Zealand's leading approved programme provider of the
internationally recognised Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) courses.
WSET is the foremost international body in the field of wines and spirits
education and its courses are formal qualifications recognised throughout
the world. Teaching is classroom based and delivered by approved tutors.

This unbiased Social Networking site for wine and food lovers has
reviews, recipes and forums to promote brands, voice your opinion and
connect with potential or existing customers. Foodie is a contemporary,
evolving website with an impressive list of Celebrity Bloggers from the
