Joe Maloni And I (Kerry Brear) have worked off and on together for over 30 years. We both live in the Pakuranga area We moved to 9 Trugood drive in 1986 taking over an old biscuit making factory and turning it into a Panel and Paint shop. We have built the business up from scratch enduring the lean times as well as the profitable. We have built a good relationship with the various insurance companies and other business in the area. In our time in Trugood drive we have seen the area of East Tamaki grow enormously. Tru good drive used to be a little dead end street but today it is one of the main links from the industrial area of East Tamaki through to Ti Rakau Drive.
We have six thousand square feet of panel and paint shop, vehicles can be repaired and painted under the same roof no need for transportation from one shop to another.
One of the essential rolls of a panel shop is to be able to align damaged vehicles. I have been associated with Autorobot since the introduction into New Zealand over 20 years ago. These alignment machines are a must today for the modern car, a requirement by insurance companies to restore vehicles back to factory specifications. It is also a requirement that as little heat as possible is used on metal used in the modern car today. Therefore the shop is equipped with migwelding double and single sided spot welding machines
Joe has the Spies Hecker colour formulation system this is one of the best systems in the world an absolute must with these modern day colours. For an example it is not unusual for some every day white colours to have more than seven different tinters in them.
We look forward to your business
Kerry Brear
