Welcome to the
Alaskan Malamute NetRing Homepage

The Alaskan Malamute NetRing is for home pages written by, about and for,
purebred Alaskan Malamutes. This ring is made possible by Ringsurf.

What is a NetRing?

A NetRing is a community of pages with related content, organized into a circular ring. Each page in a ring has links which let visitors move to an adjacent site in the ring, summon a ring index, or hop to a random site. NetRings let web visitors quickly & reliably find sites with related subjects.

Why was this ring created?

Why not??

Seriously, though, to try to provide an easy way for all on the World Wide Web to find information on the most noble (in my opinion!) of the canines - the Alaskan Malamute. What I am attempting to do is to create a ring of home pages and sites with a common theme, that are linked together, so you can visit, in a circle, each and every Alaskan Malamute page. If you travel long enough through this ring of Mals, you will eventually return back to your starting point, and, in the process, have access to huge amounts of information on the Alaskan Malamute.

The ring can only work if we all join in. The ring is FREE to use and FREE to join. If you don't have a web page about your Alaskan Malamute yet, now is the best time to start one!! Please tell your Malamute friends that this site exists. As this ring is for Alaskan Malamutes, only purebred (but not necessarily registered) Alaskan Malamutes will be incorporated.

Here's how to join The Alaskan Malamute NetRing!Join now!

(Please read Steps 1-4 before joining)

Step #1: Read the guidelines (please!)!! (They will be STRICTLY adhered to!)
Pages that are acceptable: Smily
  • Homepages of pure bred Alaskan Malamutes.
  • Pages with information on pure bred Alaskan Malamutes.
  • Pet pages that include pure bred Alaskan Malamutes.
  • Especially Help Leagues, Rescues & Clubs for Alaskan Malamutes!
  • ....and Yes! You can have as many pages that conform as you want in the Malamute NetRing!! (But each page needs it's own submission!)
  • However, I reserve the right to accept any site at my sole discretion.
Pages that are not acceptable:Warning
  • Pages that depict any kind of animal cruelty.
  • Pages not appropriate for websurfers of all ages.
  • Pages for, or with links to, Puppy Mills, Puppy Farms, Petshops or other bulk animal selling methods.
  • Sites whose main purpose is to sell, advertise, and/or promote Alaskan Malamute puppies.
  • Pages with nothing but links to other pages/Webrings.
  • Purely commercial sites, unless they are for Alaskan Malamute related items, e.g. Sleds, backpacks or similar.
  • Sites that do not represent pure-bred Alaskan Malamutes.
  • Sites advertising 'Giant' Alaskan Malamutes.
  • Pages having nothing to do with Alaskan Malamutes!
  • However, I reserve the right to decline any site at my sole discretion.

Step #2: Enter your page in the queue :-

If your page fits the general acceptable descriptions above, go right ahead and fill out this simple form. (But, please, only submit once for each unique page. If you make a mistake, then edit your current submission, rather than make a new submission, or contact me about what to do!)

Submit a site to the Alaskan Malamute NetRing
Site Title:
Site URL:
Site Owner:
EMail Address:
Site Description:

Please note - by clicking on the submit button below, you are stating that you have read, and agree with, the acceptable and non-acceptable page definitions above.

Step #3: Adding the ring info to your homepage :-

Now this is the last and most IMPORTANT step. After joining the queue for the Alaskan Malamute NetRing, you should almost immediately receive an E-mail, telling you your site ID# and containing a fragment of HTML code ready customised for your site. Copy this code from the email, and paste it into your homepage. Any place your heart desires! ( at the top, bottom or right in the middle if you want!) as long as it's on the same page that you entered on the form above. Save the page and upload it and both the Malamute Logos (copy these from the sample below, or, click here for more help on the logos, or to get the alternate Logos) to your Internet Provider.

If your email account is with AOL, then the code fragment you receive will most likely be corrupted, as AOL does not handle HTML code in emails correctly. Please ignore the email you receive, and contact me and let me know you need a clean copy of the code fragment. I will set it up for you, and let you know how to get it as soon as it is ready. .

(a.) You CANNOT be part of the ring until you add the fragment to your selected page. This part is essential for the Ring to work, as all sites have to have the common link. Sorry, I cannot do this for you, as you need to supply a password, and, in any case, I cannot access your homepage or ISP fileserver!

(b.) Sites that are in the queue for 14 days without having the above information added to their page will be removed automatically, and you will need to re-submit your site's information to join again. Should this happen, I promise there is no penalty whatsoever and you will be more than welcome back!! If you are having difficulty, please contact me, and I will do my best to resolve any problems.

Step #4: Tell me that you're ready to link up!

Important!! After you have done Step #3, send me an e-mail at Ringmaster, and let me know your page is ready to be included in the ring. Please include the SITE ID number you are given in the mail to help speed the process, but NOT your password (that's your secret!). I check the queue frequently, but emailing or ICQ'ing me may get a faster response! When you are added to the ring officially, you will (should!!) be sent an E-mail telling you so. Also, please bear in mind that I have a job that takes me out of town sometimes, usually at very short notice, so any delays in adding or responding to you may be due to this factor!!

The Alaskan Malamute NetRing is administered by Bob Hayes.
