Pictorial Walkthough of My Glanza Part #2 Inside 1 : Side driver entry view. I had decided on a blue interior look for my Glanza to complement the Indigo Silver exterior colour. Also blue is my favourite colour anyway. You can see the front has blue and black colour "Max" seat covers. The floor-mats are are also black with blue edged trim. They do make all the grit and dust that collect on the floor-mats more visible and has to be cleaned regularly.
Inside 2 : Rear seat shot. You can see one of the original Toyota back speakers (see Future Upgrades section on what I planned to do with them). Also Pikachu! Looks a bit deceiving in the picture but there is actually plenty of room in the back. One of the main reasons why I picked the Glanza was that the rear actually has room. It can seat two in the back comfortably. Legroom is pretty good, quite deceptive really when you see the size of the car from the outside. (See Inside 6 for another picture)
Inside 3 : Driver's view of the front dash. I love the white on gray dash. At night the numbers and dials comes up quite nicely. From the left are engine temperature and fuel status dials. Just below you can see two little LED lights. The first tells you if you are in "Manual" mode and second if you are in "Power" mode. If you toggle the Manual (see Inside 4 picture) switch that means that you have to changes the gears manually when you are driving using the automatic gearshift. Power mode will let your car rev higher to get more power before changing to a higher gear. If both LEDs are off, then you are in "Standard" mode for normal driving. The center is the speedometer. To the right is the rev counter. Redline is at 7500rpm. Inside the rev counter you can just make out 4 LED lights arranged in a semi-circle. The first 3 indicate how much turbo you are using. They light up sequentially the more you push the car. The fourth indicates if low-turbo mode if on. (see Inside 5 picture). The two horn buttons on the steering wheel is a bit small and takes getting used to. Airbag sits in the centre of the steering wheel.
Inside 4 : On the dash panel you can see the side mirror controls to move it up/down/left/right and fold. The center is the front spot light on/off switch. The two buttons on the right is the "Manual" and "Power" mode button. Only one can be pressed at any time. If both buttons are depressed then car will be in "Standard" mode. The handrest has 4 controls. The top left is for enabling and disabling power window control for passenger side. Beside that is the central lock lock/unlock switch. Below that is the passenger and driver power windows switches.
Inside 5 : Centre console. You can see my air freshener on the top left. Its blue to match my blue interior. The three buttons below the air duct is 1) The high/low turbo switch to conserve fuel, 2) The hazard light switch, 3) The rear window line heater switch that demists your rear windows. Below that is the climate control air conditioning. You can see the Toyota standard 2-din cd player and radio tuner. (See Future Upgrades section to see what I intend to do with it). At the bottom is the coin holder/ash tray and cigarette lighter. There is also a 2 cup holder tray that can slide out just below it. My turbo timer is just below the steering wheel. (See turbo timer closeup picture) Turbo Timer : A simple turbo timer I negotiated to have put on when I bought the car. Does the job nicely. Red button is the off/on switch. Beside that is a 1, 3 or 5 minute slider to indicate how long you want the timer to keep the engine running after you leave the car.
Inside 6 : A better rear seat shot. Shows a better picture of how much legroom there is in the back. The whole back seat will fold down to give access to the boot. Nice big side pouches handy for your passengers to store purses or small items they are carrying.
Inside 7 : Shot of the front from the passenger's side this time. Good picture of the entire front section of the interior. Glove box is actually a decent size. Enough to hold almost a dozen cd's and emergency items like a torch and maps. Notice the side of the doors also have huge pouches to hold all your loose papers and items that you might have.
Boot : Boot size as you can see is typical of a hatchback though it is big enough for my use. It can fit one golf bag if needed. The back seats can be put down to more than double your boot space. With that you can easily fit 2 golf bags. (see Future Upgrades on what I intend to put in the boot of my car). Of course, you can see Pikachu sitting right on the center.
That's it! Hope you enjoyed the walkthrough of my car. |
