What's on and about this site.........
This site is essential divided into five subject parts.Regency which is the biggest of them, Byron, Jane Austen, and Tapestry. Then there are two support sections which are the Links and the FAQ's. Because there are now so many subject areas with their own collection in the Regency I have included them in the subject line down the left as well. Book Recommendations, Georgette Heyer, The Famous People, Military , Waterloo Series , Voices , The Spanish Bride, Harry Smith Bio, Regency Life, Postal History, Industrial Advances, Coaching resources, Illustrations, Recipes, and Writing.
These pages should have the same set of navigation on the left as this one. Just make your way back to the Regency Collection Homepage which is called'Regency Home', 'Regency Collection' or just plain 'Regency' if you have problems If you are interested in the Peninsular War, or Georgette Heyer You can also link through to the The Spanish Bride homepage. This site has all the background on Georgette Heyer's historical account of the true story of Harry and Juana Smith. His autobiography is reprinted in full on Harry Smith page.
In these pages are the beginnings of my historic tapestry pages. For years I have had a fascination with tapestry and with the Elizabethan period. I have made some designs taken from a mixture of sources which will soon be available for purchase from this site. In the meantime here is a bit of background.
The most recent addition here is the link to the Byron discussion group which is run through egroups. you can either click through to the web pages that support the Byron list - although they are fledgling at the moment they will grow. Or if you are interested in joining the group click the subscribe button below.
