Welcome to the Ward 10 web site, dedicated to bringing you all the happenings of this unique metal band!

Formed in 2002 in Auckland, New Zealand, Ward 10 have been making waves and playing to enthusiastic, enthralled and at times sickened crowds ever since. With comments on the bands' sound such as "a non-stop mind-f#@king roller coaster of electro-metal pounding sickness!!!" and "a seamless 45 minute stomping collection of technically proficient epic tracks that pound you in the head continuously then stop to let you take a breath before thumping you in the face yet again...!" these guys are on top of their game and definitely worth keeping an eye on.

Ward 10 are anything but conventional with 50 minute songs and a backing track of beats including samples, bizarre noises and even a trumpet solo! Plus where else are you going to see a gimp playing an electrified cello!

Ward 10 will play anywhere, anytime. But for a band as unconventional as Ward 10, success in the New Zealand Battle of the Bands would seem like an uphill struggle. Yet despite being far removed from what would be considered mainstream and radio friendly, the band made it through to the regional final four years running. A great achievement given the diverse range of judges the band has impressed over the years and is a testament to the bands' strong song writing and performances.

2007 saw the band release their long awaited debut album 'Curing Those Who Are Normal' to rave reviews! The band then embarked on a North Island tour, playing to many new faces and fans. They also has a high quality video for their track 'To Be Normal' and have had a track featured on the 272 Records compilation Kill City Vol 6 which will is available at Amazon and record/tattoo shops on Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Blvd and Melrose Ave!

2009 sees the band featured on 2 more compilation CD's. Aavailable with issues of Slaughterama & SIC magazines. The band are also trialling killer new material at live shows for inclusion on their second album which they begin recording in October!
