These images are derived from digitised photography work characterised by smooth, flat surfaces. The work addresses the same erotic impulse evoked by Classical tradition. I attempt to re-assign the idealised physique to a contemporary context. Ideas of gendered notions of beauty are questioned or re-enforced by confronting ideals of youthful and vigorous male beauty as objects of desire.
