INSTALLATION ON TITAN TORNADO

Because of noise problems associated with pusher installation with propeller operating in the wake turbulence of the trailing edge of the wing, extensive noise testing was carried out. Although noise level and intensity was found the same as for the 3 bladed propeller the noise pattern on the 2 bladed is of a more pleasant lower frequency. Noise level inside the cockpit during cruise was reduced from 108 to 95 dB.
