CONCLUSION

From test results obtained it appears that the 2 bladed propeller is easier to move out of alignment with the natural vibration characteristics of the crankshaft hereby producing a smooth running installation.

Blade angle settings of the 2 bladed propeller are adequate for safe flight at full rpm/take off and climb speed.

Blade inspection carried out after testing revealed no sign of stress or brinelling of the blade retention bearings and all indications are that the hub system could go as high as a power input of 180hp.

Further testing will be carried out on a Lycoming 0-360.
