Hello again friends!

It's nearly the end of winter down here, but it doesn't feel like it sometimes! We have had some fantastic sunny days, as well as the odd typical Auckland rainy winter day.

This winter has been very busy for us. We have had students from Tahiti, Japan, Switzerland, Venezuela, Germany, Taiwan, Korea, Brazil, Spain and China. TEDDY OOPA, who came here in July 1998 has returned to us again and it has been great seeing such a friendly and familar face again. He has been working very hard to pass the IELTS exam, along with MYRIAM CHIN. MAIKO KATSUBE, who was here over a year and half ago has also returned for a few months. It is good to see returnees like TEDDY and MAIKO.

We often hear from our ex-counsellor NORIKO YAKATA. She is now back in Japan, after a full and exciting trip around NZ and Oz. She sent us many postcards describing her experiences and it sounded as if she had a truly memorable time here. Last we heard, she still hadn't found a job yet. We still miss her and look forward to her return to NZ. KYOKO MEGURO is in England now, having an interesting time setting up life in London and studying English and computing. MARCUS DENGLER returned to NZ to take up a work experience position... and by the way, CHRIS WEHRMANN, I hope you like the new webpage! Send us your comments! VAIANA TEGANAHAU sends us emails regularly. It is good to hear from you Vaiana! She is doing well in Tahiti. THOMAS STEIN has written to tell us that he is back at university and hopes to remember all the English he learnt in New Zealand.

This spring (September/October/November) we will be doing a lot of exam preparation with students from Switzerland and China. We are holding an IELTS course, a Cambridge Proficiency course and a Cambridge Business English Certificate course, so it will be a very busy and industrious time for us throughout the rest of the year.
