April 5 07:45 A colourless glow in the south but from time to time the brighter spots appeared pink. The display seem to cease abruptly helf an hour later.

April 10 09:00 to 11:00 Broad pale-green rays diverging from the southerly horizon.
(S43.5 E172.3) - West Melton, Canterbury, New Zealand
April 25 08:00 The display was pink, blue and white but with very little green. It was shaped like 'a bird with outstretched wings'.
(S46.4 E169.8) - Otekura, South Otago, New Zealand
