Sep 16 08:30 Glow SE to SW visible to 15 between horizon and cloud, IBC 2. Strong line in spectroscope.
            08:40 Glow reaching around to W. Broad ray bundles.
            08:45 Sky clearing. Stars above glow.
            09:00 Arc along horizon with bright patches.
                (S45.8 E169.3) - Edievale, West Otago, New Zealand
            10:00 Glow low on southern horizon.
                (S46.4 E168.3) - Otatara, Invercargill, New Zealand
                Red, green and white rays up to Southern Cross.
            10:30 Faded somewhat in W.
            11:00 Mostly green glow; mainly in S.
                (S46.4 E169.8) - Otekura, South Otago, New Zealand
                Glow.
                (S45.8 E169.3) - Edievale, West Otago, New Zealand
            12:15 Very bright white glow.
                (S46.4 E169.8) - Otekura, South Otago, New Zealand
            12:30 Glow still visible low on horizon in SSE.
            14:45 Sky now overcast.

Sep 17 NTR Suspected bright glow but it was obscured by 7/8 cloud.

            11:30 Faint glow at low elevation in S with two weak rays.
                (S45.3 E169.4) - Alexandra, Central Otago, New Zealand
            11:50 Arc IBC 2 to 3.
            12:00 Arc SE to SW. Bright rays appeared due S but soon faded.
            12:10 Similar glow. No rays.
            12:20 Similar glow to 20 elev with no rays. Brightest in SE right down to horizon. Very strong line in spectroscope.
            12:30 Faded a bit. IBC 2. Ceased observing.
            14:45 to 15:00 Mostly overcast. Faint glow in SW but no line in spectroscope: could be moonglow.
