Dec 23 approx. 10:00 Bright white, blue and pink rays, in SE, S and W. Not very high.
                (S46.4 E169.8) - Otekura, South Otago, New Zealand
            10:45 Glow SE to SW to 20 elev. No rays. Strong line in spectroscope.
                (S45.8 E169.3) - Edievale, West Otago, New Zealand
            approx. 12:00 Rays seen again.
                (S46.4 E169.8) - Otekura, South Otago, New Zealand

Dec 25 10:20 Glow along horizon.
            11:22 Glow fainter. Line in spectroscope.
            13:45 to 14:00 Glow faded. No line now.

Dec 27 09:15 Subtle red glow suspected at the end of astronomical twilight between az 170 and 290, to 25 elev. The glow appeared to fade and then return.

            12:30 Very bright white glow above and below cloud to about 70 elev.
