Apr 1 07:15 to 08:00 Very light in S. Faint colour and streaks.
                (S41.3 E174.8) - Wellington, New Zealand
            07:35 Weak red patches in SW to 15 elev. IBC 1.
            08:00 Weak red patches in S with a few weak white rays all to 15 elev. IBC 1. Ceased observing.
                (S41.0 E175.0) - Raumati Beach, New Zealand
                Bright glow on horizon SE to SW. Bright patch due S. Ray extends from patch to 45 elev.
            08:30 Glow similar on horizon.
                (S45.8 E169.3) - Edievale, West Otago, New Zealand
                No glow aurora noted. Deep twilight and 1st quarter moon.
            09:00 Suspected glow az 180 to 200, elev 20 elev. IBC 1.
            09:20 Blue homogeneous arc az 180 to 220 to 20 elev. IBC 2.
            09:46 Five faint rays az 190 to 220. Third and fourth ray to 35 elev; others to 20. Blue with green lower parts. IBC 1 but increased to IBC 2.
            10:08 Three faint blue rays at az 180, 195 and 200. IBC 2. Centre ray to 50 elev; the others to 30. Glow 30 15 centred az 200.
            10:20 Blue homogeneous band az 180 to 240 to 30 elev. Rays to 30 elev at az 190, 200 and 210.
            10:40 Glow az 200 to 250. IBC 1. (noted gradual westward displacement of display). Two rays to elev 50 at az 230 and 240.
            10:42 Display now IBC 2 and blue.
            10:50 Aurora gone.
            11:00 Still no aurora visible.

Apr 11 01:25 Faint green moving bands against a brightly lit sky with nearly full moon and twilight on the horizon opposite the aurora.

Apr 18 01:05 Very strong activity across the entire sky with spectacular colour variations from green to red directly overhead.

            08:30 to 09:30 White glow SE to SW to 20 elev. At about 08:45 a white ray developed about SSE and rose to about 35. A second smaller ray developed slightly east of the first. Both lasted about 1 minute.

            09:00 to 09:25 Bluish glow centred on 190 az to 20 elev. Low - moderate intensity. Ceased observing because of fog.

Apr 22 07:20 Arc SSE to SSW on horizon. IBC 2. Faint broad rays.

                Just an even glow now to 15 elev. No rays. IBC 1.
            08:40 Fading but still line in spectroscope.

                Glow faded.
            09:00 Glow back to its original size.

            09:30 Very bright wide band above the hill with a few slow moving rays waving like plants in a breeze. Mostly green and white but one or two were pink.

            09:45 Glow receded again.
                (S45.1 E171.0) - Oamaru, North Otago, New Zealand
            09:50 Photo confirmed weak aurora. Very weak red ray structure centred on S.
                (S40.3 E175.4) - Glen Oroua, Manawatu, New Zealand
                 Prominent band just above S horizon. Rays from band seen stretching to 20 towards Achernar. Creamy white and brighter than Milky Way. Rays persisted for tens of seconds.
            10:00 Aurora more subdued with no rays visible.
            11:00 Aurora very quiet and appeared as just a faint glow with possible light and dark vertical banding in parts.
            12:00 Cloud covered S horizon.
            13:20 Aurora visible slightly to S where it peaks above cloud.

            14:45 to 15:00 S mostly clouded but glow on horizon where it was clear. No rays visible.
            15:15 Sky clearing. Glow in S IBC 2 to 3. Spectroscope shows line to 45. No rays visible.

            10:00 Bright glow SE to SW to 20 to 25.
