            11:00 to 12:00 Greenish glow with a few rays.
                (S45.1 E169.3) - Clyde, Central Otago, New Zealand
                Glow SE to SW, IBC 2. Strong line in spectroscope.
                (S45.8 E169.3) - Edievale, West Otago, New Zealand
            11:50 Probable auroral glow in low cloud gaps above southern horizon to 9 elev, IBC 2.
                (S46.1 E168.9) - Gore, Southland, New Zealand
            12:50 Glow still SE to SW, IBC 2.
            14:45 Glow fainter but still visible.

May 4 16:40 Quite a bit of colour and movement through light cloud S to SW.

May 13 NTR Aurorae seen.

            06:00 to 11:00 Distinct auroral glow S despite Moon. No structure seen.

May 24 07:15 Glow SE - SW to 20 elev, IBC 1. Confirmed with spectroscope.
            08:00 Similar. Visible through gaps in cloud.
            08:30 Almost clouded out.
                (S45.8 E169.3) - Edievale, West Otago, New Zealand
            09:25 Greenish-white glow seen through thin cloud, az 200 - 250, to 20 elev. Thick cloud elsewhere.
            09:30 Became brighter. Reddish at az 235 - 250 with hint of ray structure for couple of minutes.
            09:45 Glow slightly fainter but still as extensive as before. Only Sirius and beta CMa visible through cloud and aurora.

            15:00 Thin cloud in S. Moon up. No line in spectroscope. Aurora appears to have gone.

            15:35 Glow through light cloud SE - SW. White rays shot up above the cloud but nothing spectacular.
