Jun 2 07:00 One vertical ray near top of Mt Erebus and the Moon; ie, north. It must have been bright to have seen it in such a light part of the sky.
            13:00 Similar.
                (S77.9 E166.8) - Scott Base, Antarctica

Jun 3 05:30 Band to SE. Close to Moon and partly obscured by cloud.

Jun 5 12:15 Rayed veil low in S. Did not extend very much in azimuth. Fainter after a few minutes.
                (S46.4 E168.3) - Otatara, Invercargill, New Zealand

Jun 7 10:00 approx. Glow, patch and green wide band, SE to S.
            14:20 Similar.
                (S46.4 E169.8) - Otekura, South Otago, New Zealand
            20:48 to 21:06 Band or rayed band SE to S, 30 elev. Some rays flaming or big folds to 60 elev. No discernable colour. Intensity shifts through band. Visible in waning moonlight and considerable ambient light.

Jun 8 03:00 Folding bands NE to S. Bright as brightest stars. Greenish tinge at maximum intesnsity. Less than 30 elev.
            06:40 Rayed arc NE to S. Bright at times.
            09:30 Fast moving rays, rayed band or band. Activity from NE moved and met activity from S.

Jun 9 13:00 Rayed band. Forms faded to be replaced by others. NE to SW. bright as brightest stars.
            21:00 Arc E to SE. Greenish tinge, thin. Blots out all but brightest stars.

Jun 19 09:30 to 10:00 Strong whitish glow in S elev about 8.
            12:00 No glow visible.

Jun23 15:30 Glow; white with a little pink and green, SE to S below cloud.
                (S46.4 E169.8) - Otekura, South Otago, New Zealand

Jun 24 16:00 Green patch and small pink rays in S.

Jun 25 21:10 Patchy band; moving between SE and S; not visibly fast. Could be quite bright but Moon in same sector of sky.

Jun 26 06:30 Glow right down to sea-level. Dark clouds far out to sea against lighter background. The Moon was very bright through medium height cloud.

Jun 27 09:30 Unsure about glow because of extensive cloud.
            12:15 Bright, light-green glow in S.
            16:10 No sign of glow.
