Marleys Hill Repeater site
On Saturday the 22nd of January 2005 a team of hams;
Gareth ZL3VP, Eion ZL3AG, Dave ZL3TRX, Steve ZL2UCX, Barrie ZL3TNQ, Mike ZL3TMB.
Made a trip to Marleys Hill to update the antenna, on both 147.050 and 439.000 national system local port. To a diamond X50 dual band antenna. The weather was fantastic with great views over Christchurch and the Canterbury plans. Which made Dave's job up the antenna mast quite pleasant, Barrie was working at the base of the antenna mast tying tools and parts to a rope to save Dave going up and down the mast. Eion, Gareth and Steve were sorting out the cables required to get it all going. Mike arrived later in the morning after a good walk to the top of Marleys Hill, where the telecom site is and around most of the repeaters on site. To get some good photos.... If you want copies of these in higher resolution Email me.
Here is a selection of photos with the view on the day.
